How It All Started
My machining interest started in the basement of my grandparents home in Jackson , WI. My grandfather had a small metal lathe run by a leather belt and I would watch him machine small parts. I decided that this was the path for me. It started in high school and then technical college for machining.
My last semester of technical college was interrupted by a severe boating accident where I was run over by the same boat that was pulling me up on my water ski. They circled around to come get me and didn’t see me in the water until it was too late. The propeller struck me in 3 places. Broken bones and major nerve damage left me paralyzed. 3 ½ months in the hospital and 2 years of rehab I was able to take my first step in walking again on my own.
A year later I was back to school finishing the last semester of technical college. 25 years of machining and life circumstances lead me to owning Advantage Machining Service in 2016.
We are a smaller fully air conditioned 2500 sq. ft production and prototype
shop in Belleview, Florida with four CNC machines, a manual machine and various saws and drill presses to achieve a lot of different machining processes.
My customers get personal service from me, the owner. When you call, I answer the phone. I quote projects and also run parts that we manufacture. I've been machining for over 30 years and am a hands on owner.
We machine an array of plastics, ferrous and non-ferrous metals for all types of industries such as Medical, First Responder, Marine and many more. We like the fact that we are not an oversize machine shop as we make our business personal with our customers. It also keeps our overhead low so we can offer good pricing and great service.
